On April 3, 2025, Ambassador Krit Tankanarat attended a bilateral meeting between Mr. Phairach Pornsomboonsiri, Attorney General of Thailand and Mr. Juan Bautista Mahiques, Attorney General of the City of Buenos Aires and President of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) at the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the City of Buenos Aires, on the sidelines of the 59th Executive Committee Meeting of the IAP.

During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on the structure and functions of their respective public prosecution systems and explored opportunities to strengthen judicial cooperation in criminal matters between Thailand and Argentina. Topics included mutual legal assistance, extradition, and the transfer of sentenced persons.

Additionally, the Thai delegation had the opportunity to visit the Centre of Judicial Investigation (CIJ) to gain insights into Argentina’s advanced criminal investigation techniques and technologies, as well as efforts to build a global alliance to combat online child sexual exploitation.
