On 9 May 2025, Ambassador Krit Tankanarat delivered a welcome address to guests at the business matching event “Amazing Thailand Roadshow to Latin America 2025” organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) at the Sofitel Buenos Aires Recoleta Hotel in Buenos Aires.

The Ambassador highlighted Thailand’s tourism promotion policies, emphasizing the country’s strengths, and introduced visa facilitation measures to inform tourism business operators and airlines in Argentina about the diverse potential of Thai tourism products and services.

In 2024, Thailand welcomed as many as 186,244 tourists from Latin America, marking a 7% increase from 2019, which exceeded the pre-pandemic period. Among them, 23,474 were from Argentina, making it the third-largest tourism market for Thailand in the Latin American region, following Brazil and Mexico.
