On 19 January 2026, Ambassador Krit Tankanarat, in his capacity as Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Buenos Aires (ACBA), together with the ASEAN diplomatic corps, visited to TecBA under the Secretariat of Innovation and Digital Transformation of the City Government of Buenos Aires to learn about best practices in digital government and smart city development aimed at enhancing public services.

The delegation received a briefing on TecBA’s role in driving the city’s digital ecosystem and its preparations to launch “BAX,” a super app that consolidates digital identity documents and key city services, leveraging AI to improve convenience, speed, and accessibility.

The visit reflects ASEAN’s commitment to advancing cooperation with Argentina in e-governance and the digital economy, as well as to strengthening technology networks and collaboration.
