On 8 July 2026, Ambassador Krit Tankanarat welcomed Mr. Oscar Alberto Herrera Ahuad, member of the House of Representatives from Misiones Province and the Argentina-Thailand Parliamentary Friendship Group, at the Ambassador’s Residence, with a view to fostering bilateral ties and enhancing legislative cooperation between Argentina and Thailand.

On this occasion, the Ambassador affirmed his readiness to work closely with Mr. Herrera Ahuad, emphasizing the vital role of the Friendship Group as a key mechanism in fostering interparliamentary relations. Both sides also exchanged views on Argentina’s current political and economic landscape and discussed potential avenues to promote trade and tourism cooperation between Thailand and Misiones Province.
