On 24 June 2026, Ambassador Krit Tankanarat, together with the heads of diplomatic missions of the ASEAN Committee in Buenos Aires (ACBA), met with Mr. Martín Rappallini, President of the Unión Industrial Argentina (UIA), to exchange views on promoting trade and investment cooperation.

On this occasion, the Ambassador emphasized that trade between Thailand and Argentina is mutually beneficial. Over the years, Argentina’s industrial sector has imported machinery, electrical equipment, automotive parts, and industrial components from Thailand for use in its production processes, thereby contributing to the development and growth of Argentina’s industries.

At the same time, Thailand also relies on imports from Argentina in several sectors, including seafood, animal feed, and leather products.

Both sides expressed their commitment to further promoting trade and investment relations, with a view to increasing bilateral trade value and supporting the development of the industrial sectors of both countries.
