On 29 September 2025 – Ambassador Krit Tankanarat participated in a key tourism promotion event at the FIT International Tourism Fair of Latin America (FIT América Latina), one of the region’s largest travel exhibition.

The fair, which ran from 27 - 30 September, also featured a dedicated Thai pavilion organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Los Angeles Office. The Thai delegation included five tourism operators showcasing the country’s diverse routes and services.

Promotional efforts focused on renowned destinations such as the capital city of Bangkok and historical sites like Ayutthaya and Sukhothai. Special attention was also given to Koh Yao Yai in Phang Nga Province, an emerging natural attraction marketed as the “Jewel of the Andaman” that is growing in popularity among Argentinian travelers. 

The Embassy’s participation underscores Thailand’s commitment to the Latin American market. Interest in Thailand among Argentinians is on a continuous rise, evidenced by the fact that around 25,000 Argentinians visited Thailand in 2024.
