On 27 January 2026, Ambassador Krit Tankanarat chaired the 46th Meeting of the ASEAN Committee in Buenos Aires (ACBA) and formally handed over the Chairmanship to Ambassador Grace T. Cruz-Fabella of the Philippines.

During Thailand’s chairmanship from July 2025 to January 2026, ACBA advanced public outreach and practical cooperation in a sustained manner through coordinated communications, engagement with provincial authorities and industry stakeholders, activities with academic institutions, and initiatives in the digital economy. These efforts contributed to further strengthening ASEAN-Argentina cooperation and bringing our people-to-people ties closer.
