The Royal Thai Embassy in Buenos Aires Hosts Reception on the Occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, National Day, and Father’s Day, 5 December 2025

On 3 December 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Buenos Aires hosted a reception on the occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, National Day, and Father’s Day of 5 December 2025 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Buenos Aires. H.E. Mr. Krit Tankanarat, Ambassador of Thailand to Argentina, together with officials and the head of Team Thailand office and their spouses, welcomed the guests, who included senior officials from various Argentine and Paraguayan agencies, members of the diplomatic corps, academics, representatives from the business sector, the Thai community, and Friends of Thailand.

On this occasion, the Embassy invited guests to watch a video in remembrance of the royal duties and contributions of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, followed by a moment of silence to pay tribute. The Ambassador then highlighted the significance of 5 December, the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Argentina, and the Embassy’s work in strengthening bilateral relations across various dimensions. These include the 6th Thailand-Argentina Political Consultations and Bilateral Economic Consultation, the 5th Meeting of the Joint Commission on Technical Cooperation between Thailand and Argentina, a business delegation from Thailand to explore trade opportunities in Argentina, the organization of Thai Film Week in Buenos Aires, as well as sports and cultural promotion activities through Muay Thai and Thai cooking demonstrations in cooperation with the Instituto Argentino de Gastronomía (IAG). Thai food was also served to the guests, and royal compositions by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great were played for all to enjoy.
