On 12 February 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Buenos Aires organized a brainstorming session “Bridging the Distance between Thailand and Argentina” in collaboration with the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Buenos Aires.

The event was attended by a group of 17 students and professors from the University of Buenos Aires. The program commenced with a comprehensive briefing on the Embassy’s mission and its pivotal role in strengthening bilateral ties across various dimensions, including political cooperation, economic diplomacy, consular services, and culture.

A key highlight of the event was the interactive brainstorming session. The students presented several proposals to bring the two nations closer together, such as organizing cultural events, leveraging digital media and social platforms to enhance Thailand’s visibility, establishing robust academic networks and collaboration between Thai and Argentine universities, and promoting direct people-to-people connectivity through youth exchanges.

This activity underscores the Embassy’s commitment to fostering youth engagement in Thailand-Argentina relations by integrating the voices of the next generation to strengthen the people-to-people ties between Thailand and Argentina.
