On 21 July 2026, Ambassador Krit Tankanarat met with H.E. Mr. Rubén Ramírez Lezcano, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Paraguay, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Asunción to further strengthen cooperation between Thailand and Paraguay across various areas.

Both sides discussed opportunities to deepen their economic partnership and supply chain connectivity in areas of mutual benefit through trade and investment, multilateral cooperation, development cooperation, and people-to-people ties, as well as exchanged views on the situation in the region. The Ambassador highlighted Paraguay’s economic potential as Thailand’s promising trade partner and as a strategic gateway for Thai businesses to access MERCOSUR markets.
