On 21 July 2026, Ambassador Krit Tankanarat met with Mr. Enrique Duarte, President of the Paraguayan Industrial Union (Unión Industrial Paraguaya: UIP), at the UIP office in Asunción to explore opportunities to expand economic cooperation between Thai businesses and Paraguayan industries in terms of imports, exports and joint ventures.

Both sides exchanged information on current trade and investment regulations as well as latest market trends. In addition, they discussed means to enhance trade and investment flows under Paraguay's Maquila regime and strengthen supply chain connectivity in sectors of mutual interest, particularly animal feed, automotive parts and electronic goods, leveraging Paraguay’s strengths as a major exporter of feed ingredients and
a key manufacturing hub for MERCOSUR market.
