Effective January 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM (UTC+07:00), foreign nationals residing in Argentina, Paraguay, or Uruguay who wish to apply for a visa to Thailand must do so via the new online electronic visa platform at [https://www.thaievisa.go.th/](https://www.thaievisa.go.th/). It will no longer be necessary to submit the original passport and supporting documents in person at the Royal Thai Embassy in Buenos Aires. However, electronic payment is not yet available, and payments must be made in cash.

Once the electronic visa application has been approved, a confirmation email will be sent to the applicant. It is essential for the applicant to print a copy of this email to present to the airline at the departure airport and to Thai immigration authorities upon arrival in Thailand.
