On 4 August 2026, Ambassador Krit Tankanarat met with Senator Jorge Milton Capitanich at the Argentine National Congress on the occasion of the assumption of his duties as President of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Asia, with a view to exploring opportunities to foster interparliamentary ties between Thailand and Argentina.

The Ambassador affirmed his readiness to work closely with Senator Capitanich in his capacity as President of the Friendship Group to promote interparliamentary, economic and cultural exchanges. The two sides also exchanged views on potential avenues to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, energy, technical cooperation, culture and sports in areas of mutual interest.
