On 29 September 2026, Ambassador Krit Tankanarat visited the National Congress of Argentina and met with Mr. Julio Moreno Ovalle, President of the Argentina-Thailand Parliamentary Friendship Group, alongside its members.

On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the continued cooperation with the Friendship Group, which plays a vital role in strengthening bilateral ties in various areas, including politics, economy, trade, investment, development and technical cooperation, culture and tourism, and noted a significant increase in overall bilateral trade volume, making Thailand Argentina's 10th largest trading partner this year.

Furthermore, the Ambassador highlighted the outcomes of his recent visits to various Argentine provinces which reflect diverse economic potential and opportunities for cooperation with Thailand in various sectors, such as space technology, nuclear technology, agricultural technology, digital economy, energy, and critical minerals. The Ambassador also extended an invitation to the Friendship Group to visit Thailand to further strengthen interparliamentary ties between the two countries.
