The Ambassador highlighted the important diplomatic role of the Argentine Congress in fostering international relations and supporting the long-standing ties between Thailand and Argentina, established in 1955. He noted that Argentina remains one of Thailand’s closest and most enduring partners in Latin America.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, a milestone celebrated through a variety of activities reflecting the strength of their friendship. Economic ties have also continued to grow, with bilateral trade reaching over USD 2 billion annually, making Argentina Thailand’s third-largest trading partner in the region.

On this occasion, the Ambassador recalled his recent visits to several Argentine provinces, noting the economic potential and opportunities for cooperation in areas such as technology, energy, tourism, and agriculture. He also extended an invitation to the Chair and members of the Argentina–Thailand Parliamentary Friendship Group to visit Thailand, to further strengthen parliamentary relations between the two countries.
